Amrut

Brand Naming

Choosing the ideal brand name is never easy, but it will help you summarize your brand’s concept into a single or small number of words. After considering a few possibilities, I chose the one that most closely matched my beliefs and the message I want to convey with this mineral water brand. The word “Amrut” or Amrita is considered as the elixir of life.

Brand Concept

The impact of perspective can be find in several situations. For example, if we present tap water in two contrasting ways: one in a plain plastic bottle or cup, and the other in a bottle that is branded and has been advertised better. In its simplest form, tap water in a nondescript container might be perceived as ordinary and devoid of any inherent value. However, the same tap water, when presented in a thoughtfully designed and attractively packaged bottle, elevates the perception of the water from basic to something more nuanced and unique.

When it comes to products appearances matter, and this is where branding comes into play. The way a product is presented and branded has the potential to reshape how it is perceived by the consumer. It emphasizes the idea that a well-executed design can elevate the perceived value of even the most basic items, illustrating the transformative influence of branding on consumer perception.

So I decided to make a mineral water company branding how people’s perspectives change to the same tap water when it is added with proper branding. I gave the brand’s name Amrut, which means elixir. So the one who consumes the product will get the feeling of drinking the purest thing in the world.

Logo Theme

I had to test out the logo in each typeface since I was so infatuated with Typo Round. I chose the lowercase because it gives the logo more balance and a more approachable, kind appearance.

Colocasia leaves, commonly known as taro leaves, are a staple in many cuisines around the world. They are prized for their nutritional content and possible medical benefits in addition to being utilized as a food source. The broad, flat surface of colocasia leaves allows for a large area of water retention. They are able to catch and retain water droplets due to their broad surface. It’s possible that the leaves’ glossy or waxy coating helps repel impurities by stopping them from sticking to the leaf surface. This characteristic might help keep the water droplets that gather on the leaves pure. Because leaf tissues are hydrophilic, pure water molecules may be drawn to them and held there, possibly keeping out some pollutants. One could use this characteristic symbolically to highlight the water’s inherent purity connected to colocasia leaves.

So, as a brand symbol, I chose Colocasia leaves because they are connected to nature, and those leaves have the property of holding pure water droplets when it rains from the sky.

Samudra Mandhan

Samudra Manthan, is a story from Vishnu Purana. It is also known as the Churning of the Ocean, is a significant episode from Hindu mythology. The tale revolves around the Devas (celestial beings) and Asuras (demons) joining forces to churn the ocean (Samudra) using Mount Mandara as the churning rod and Vasuki, the serpent, as the rope. The purpose of this cosmic undertaking was to extract the elixir of immortality, known as Amrita, from the depths of the ocean. As the churning progressed, various divine and mystical entities emerged, including the celestial cow Kamadhenu, the wish-fulfilling tree Kalpavriksha, and the goddess Lakshmi. However, the process also brought forth potent poisons, which a benevolent deity, Lord Shiva, willingly consumed to safeguard the universe. Ultimately, the Amrita surfaced, leading to a fierce battle between the Devas and Asuras for its possession, symbolizing the eternal struggle between good and evil in Hindu mythology.
